Pumpkin Patch
Just for picture/tradition sake we went to the pumpkin patch tonight. We looked at the crazy expensive pumpkins, held the rabbits, rode the horses (thanks to Papa and Gran) and took some pictures. Here is our pumpkin patch adventure for this year.....enjoy.

PMES: Field Day
Tyler's field day was this week and we had fun. It was very different from the field days that I remember as a kid - a lot less "competition" and a little more making everyone feel good kind of day. We used to get dirty on field day and yearned to be the championship class. We didn't have that so much this time. Maybe there was the competitive nature on the field that I did not notice through the lens of a parent rather than a child. The did compete hard in the tug-of-war at the end of the day and came in runner's up. There little hands were tired after competing for 30 minutes and they are winners nonetheless!
(please note this is not Tyler holding his sister's hand - Todd loves Sarah and the feeling is mutual)

All Things Stone Mountain
We have been to the laser show a few times and the kids always want to do the other activities but it seems that once you lug everything to that coveted spot on the lawn that you are just tired. We usually pick one activity when we are there but don't ever do them all. Tyler coaxed Papa and Gran to taking us to Stone Mountain to do everything and we did. We did the sky hike, the ropes course, the sky buckets, the barn with the jumpy things in it (cannot remember what this was) and the train. Here are some pictures of the day - we were on top of the world or at least Atlanta :)

Elisha Winn House: Annual Visit
We made our annual trip to the Elisha Winn House for their little fair that is put on every year in October. For me it seems to signal the beginning of Fall. They always have little crafters booths, a few food items and usually some clogging....good country things! The big thing that the kids look forward to (well Tyler at least) is the Civil War reenactments where they shoot the cannon. Sarah is not as big of a fan of the noise but has fun nonetheless. Fun day in the country for everyone!
